Modern architecture in the midst of nature and rurality
OAK Nature - local accommodation is a modern architecture project in the village of Ventosa, in Vieira do Minho. Integrated into the rural landscape, the building combines steel, glass and wood with the centuries-old oak trees and rugged cliffs that surround it. It's a place of charm and tranquillity, ideal for relaxing and connecting with lush nature. From here, you can enjoy a privileged view over the Peneda-Gerês National Park (PNPG), admiring the Gerês and Amarela mountains, the bridges of the Caldo River and the Caniçada reservoir, where you can practise water sports or simply cool off on its river beaches.
OAK Nature offers you two accommodation options, both with all the comfort and quality you deserve. In the main building, you'll find nine spacious and elegant suites, equipped with air conditioning, television, Wi-Fi and minibar. In this building, you can also make use of the communal areas, such as the lounge and dining area. To relax, there's nothing better than the spa, where you can enjoy a massage, sauna or Turkish bath, or to cool off, you can take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool, surrounded by mountain scenery. If you're looking for a more exclusive and intimate experience, you can opt for the 2-bedroom glass house, a premium accommodation located in a secluded and quiet spot. This house is entirely glazed, allowing you to enjoy a panoramic view of nature. Inside you'll find two spacious suites, a living and dining room, a kitchen and more. Outside, there's a private pool, a terrace and a barbecue. It's the perfect place to spend time with family or friends, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

In a self-service buffet, you can choose from a wide variety of options, all of which are fresh and of high quality. There are breads, croissants, cakes, jams, cheeses, cold cuts, yogurts, fruit, cereals and much more. If you prefer a hotter, more substantial breakfast, you can enjoy scrambled eggs and crispy bacon, which will give you energy for the day. To accompany it, you can drink natural fruit juices, coffee or tea, depending on your taste. Our breakfast is an unmissable gastronomic experience that will give you a healthy and tasty start to the day.
Snacks & cafetaria
If you want to take a break and have a snack or a drink, you can request our cafeteria and snack service, which offers some delicious and varied options, including ice cream. However, we don't have a catering service for a full meal (lunch or dinner). But don't worry, we're here to help you find the best place to eat. We have a list of restaurants nearby that serve typical local dishes, such as Portuguese stew or roast kid. We can also reserve a table for you if you wish. We guarantee that you will have a gastronomic experience during your stay.

SPA: jacuzzi, sauna and turkish bath
A space reserved for you, where you can enjoy three restorative treatments: jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath. These treatments help relieve stress, improve circulation, cleanse the skin and relax the muscles. The spa service includes a bathrobe and slippers. Use is on an individual basis, for guests in the same room, at the set time and upon pre-booking.
Outdoor pool (heated)
One of the attractions of OAK Nature is its outdoor overflow pool made of granite, which blends in with the natural landscape. Here you can swim, play or simply contemplate the breathtaking view of the Caldo river and the Caniçada reservoir. The water in the pool is heated in the months most suitable for its use, so you can enjoy it (almost) at any time of the year. Next to the pool, there is also a leisure area and a terrace where you can enjoy a drink or snack.
Health-care Gym
If you want to exercise and take care of your physical (and mental) shape, OAK Nature has a space equipped with gym equipment for this purpose. You can do cardiovascular, strength or flexibility exercises, depending on your needs and preferences. Given the quietness of the place, you can also take the opportunity to meditate or practice yoga, which are activities that promote balance between body and mind.
Massages Upon Request
To enhance the effect of relaxation and well-being, Oak Nature offers a complementary massage service, which can be arranged on request (extra service with additional supplement). You can choose from various types of massage, such as relaxing, therapeutic, sports or aromatherapy, which are carried out by qualified and experienced professionals. The massages take place in a private room, with soft music and relaxing aromas, creating an atmosphere conducive to total relaxation.

Cancellation Policy
Reservations can be canceled free of charge up to 30 days before the scheduled arrival date. If you cancel after this period (30 days), you will not be entitled to a refund. However, there may be some flexibility if you wish to change the dates of your stay, depending on availability.
General Regulations
The terms of the Regulations govern the relationship between the guest and OAK Nature from the moment the reservation is made until the end of the stay at the accommodation.

The festivities and traditions in Vieira do Minho reflect the faith, identity and joy of its people, who celebrate their patron saints, their arts and crafts, their local products and their historical roots.
Some of the most important festivals and pilgrimages in Vieira do Minho are:
- The Feira do Fumeiro, which takes place in February and promotes the region's typical sausages and smoked meats, such as presunto, alheira, salpicão and chouriça.
- The Feira da Ladra, which takes place in October and is one of the oldest and most popular in the municipality, where used objects, antiques, handicrafts and agricultural products are sold and exchanged.
- The Chestnut Market, which takes place in November and celebrates this dried fruit in the fall, with various cultural and gastronomic activities.
- Agro Vieira, which takes place in June and is a showcase of the municipality's economic, social and cultural activities, with exhibitions, competitions, shows and entertainment.
In addition to these festivals, there are also pilgrimages in honor of the patron saints of the various parishes in the municipality, such as Senhora da Esperança in Anissó, the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Anjos, Senhora da Fé in Cantelães, São Francisco in São Paio de Eira Vedra, São Silvestre in Guilhofrei, Senhora da Guia in Louredo, among many others. These pilgrimages include processions, masses, fireworks, music, dancing and socializing among the faithful.
Folklore is also a living expression of Vieira do Minho's traditions and customs. There are several folklore groups dedicated to preserving and disseminating the typical dances and songs of the region, such as the Cantelães Folklore Group, the Parada de Bouro Folklore Group, the Rossas Folklore Group and the Ventosa Folklore Group. These groups take part in local, national and international festivals, bringing with them Minho costumes, traditional musical instruments and characteristic choreography.
